This photographic collection centres around the hopes and aspirations of a group of refuges who were temporarily transferred to Australia for medical treatment, but found themselves locked up, in a Kangaroo Point motel converted to an Alternative Place of Detention (APoD). Three-years on, and nearly two-years after they were released into the community, they continue to languish in immigration purgatory, living precariously and lurching from one six-month bridging visa to another. 

It also features selected images of the community of protesters who gathered around the hotel in solidarity for more than 300 days demanding the men be released.
